POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking a sharp, highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to support our healthcare-focused software product team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate or recent graduate eager to learn and contribute. Working in a constantly-evolving startup-like environment, this role demands an individual who thrives on facilitating processes and enabling collaboration between multi-disciplinary teams, including end-users (e.g., clinicians, administrators, patients), software engineers, designers, and product managers. You will provide essential administrative, logistical, and documentation support to ensure our products are developed efficiently and meet client expectations, contributing to the team's goal of improving healthcare delivery, outcomes, or operational efficiency. This position plays a vital role in facilitating key product management activities within the healthcare space.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the general direction of the Managing Director, the Product Analyst is responsible for supporting the product management function by:

  • Assisting with the tracking and documentation of software features and functions as they move through the development lifecycle.
  • Assisting with research on relevant healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission, various state laws), competitor products, and compiling findings for the product team.
  • Assisting in the documentation, formatting, and organization of software requirements and specifications relevant to healthcare workflows.
  • Coordinating meetings, communications, and logistics between engineers, subject matter experts, end-users (including healthcare professionals), customers, and the product management team.
  • Assisting in scheduling user feedback sessions, documenting findings, and organizing feedback for review.
  • Providing administrative and logistical support for the product development process, including maintaining project documentation and tracking action items.
  • Assisting with the documentation and formatting of user scenarios, workflows, and user stories under the guidance of product managers.
  • Assisting with the testing, logging, and tracking of reported bugs.
  • Facilitating communication between Product Management, SMEs, Engineering, and other stakeholders regarding documentation updates, meeting schedules, and feedback summaries.
  • Developing a foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle and the healthcare product context.
  • Developing a basic technical understanding of software operations.
  • Developing an in depth understanding of relevant healthcare operations. Must be open to potentially shadowing clinicians on patient visits in the future.
  • Coordinating communication and assisting with information gathering from internal and external groups.
  • Helping ensure requirement documentation is accessible, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Assisting with the formatting, organization, and maintenance of requirements and specification documentation.
  • Assisting in the onboarding and implementation process for new customers, particularly regarding documentation and scheduling.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining knowledge base documentation to help end users understand the product.
  • Accurately reporting time spent on tasks and projects using designated company software.
  • Other administrative and coordination duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Preference may be given to candidates with coursework, a degree, or experience in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Health Informatics, Public Health, Health Administration, etc.), or demonstrable experience working within the healthcare industry.
  • Clinical licensure is not required.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate schedules, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for coordination and documentation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Quick learner and able to grasp new concepts rapidly.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software).
  • Demonstrated interest in the healthcare industry and technology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify logistical challenges.
  • Strong research skills and eagerness to gather information.
  • Motivation and desire to learn about software development concepts and the healthcare technology landscape.
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows or clinical environments is a plus.
  • Ability to stay grounded, centered, and professional in a constantly changing startup-like environment.
  • Demonstrates resilience, flexibility, and a collaborative, easy-going demeanor when priorities shift or unexpected changes arise.
